报告摘要:Cancer microenvironment is increasingly being viewed as an ecosystem, in which tumor cells interact with surrounding cells through diverse ecological relationships. However, the ecological principles governing the dynamics of cancer development and progression remain a mystery, hindering efforts to find better treatment options.Here, weproposed amathematical model for tumor-immune ecosystem. This ecological model accurately recapitulates the dynamic states and their transitions during cancer immunoediting by integrating mathematical modeling, stability and bifurcation analysis, and clinical data. Our result predicts that robust anti-tumor immune response prevents cancer immunoediting progressing escape phase and that inhibition of anti-tumor immune response only appears during the cancer progression from dormancy to the escape phase. The discovery of these ecological principles and the understanding of cell motility within TME provide a potential for improved intervention of ecological interactions that could impact cancer progression and treatment.

报告人简介:邹秀芬,武汉大学bat365在线登录入口二级教授,博士生导师,中国工业与应用数学学会数学生命科学专业委员会副主任。长期从事数学与生物医学等交叉学科研究。近年来主持承担了国家自然科学基金重点项目、面上项目和科技部国家重大研究计划课题等科研课题。在复杂疾病的海量数据集成、多尺度建模和复杂疾病的优化控制等方面取得了一系列成果,已在“SIAM on Applied Mathematics”, “Applied Mathematical Modeling”, “PLOS ComputationalBiology”, “Bulletin of Mathematical Biology”, “IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering”等国际重要学术期刊上发表相关的学术论文。
